The All India NGO Welfare Union (AINWU) is a national-level platform dedicated to empowering and uniting NGOs, voluntary organizations, civil society groups, and grassroots social change makers across India. We work to build a collaborative ecosystem where NGOs can thrive, grow, and effectively serve communities with shared resources, legal support, funding guidance, and technical assistance.
Our mission is to strengthen civil society by promoting transparency, accountability, innovation, and unity among NGOs working in diverse fields such as education, healthcare, environment, women and child welfare, rural development, skill training, and more.
Some of the biggest challenges that social sector organisations, especially small and rural NGOs, face today are in organisational capacity, establishing trust and accountability with external stakeholders, sustainability and meeting donor expectations.
NFSO INDIA works with NGOs, foundations, governments and other stakeholders to help them solve their key problems on multiple fronts.”
What triggered these thoughts was the liberalisation of the Indian economy in the 1990’s which brought with it immense opportunities. Business revived, and India became not just a market, but also an investment prospect for the developed world. Disposable incomes and early settlements became a living reality for the working middle-class. For the first time in India, professionals could think beyond making a living, and contribute towards the society.
